DAGFAS Winter Exhibition

Dumfries and Galloway Fine Arts Society Members are invited to submit up to 4 paintings or artworks, of which at least 3 items will be shown for the above exhibition.  The exhibition will run from Saturday 2nd November to Saturday 23rd November.  DAGFAS committee have decided that there will be no submission fees for this exhibition as Samphire Gallery are charging 50% commission (inc VAT).

In order that a list of exhibitors and works can be prepared, please register below by Sunday 20th October.

Submission Guidelines

Artwork must be labelled on the back with the name of the artist, contact details, title of work, medium, size and price.  Labels are available on our website if required.  Artists will be responsible for insuring their artworks.

Paintings must be suitably framed, with D rings and string fixed to the frame, ready for hanging.  A deep box canvas may be unframed but must be painted on all visible edges.  Substandard framing will not be accepted.

If you would like the opportunity for your work to be featured on the Samphire Gallery website then please send high resolution images to: samphiregallery@gmail.com  no later than 26th October.

The artwork must be handed in to Samphire Gallery on dates as shown below or, if you need assistance with getting your artwork to and from the gallery, please contact our exhibitions coordinator at exhibitions@dagfas.org.uk or phone 0735 9535 248.

Sales commission to Samphire Gallery will be 50% (inc VAT).  The exhibition will be open from 10am to 4pm, excluding Sundays and Mondays.

There will be an open evening on Friday 1st November from 7pm to 9pm to which all artists and friends are invited.  I hope you will join us!

Artworks not sold must be collected from the Samphire Gallery on the dates shown below.

Key Dates

Sunday 20th October: Register works.

Saturday 26th October 1pm to 4pm: Hand in.

Wednesday 30th October 1pm to 4pm: Hand in.

Friday 1st November 7pm to 9pm: Opening Evening.

Saturday 2nd November to Saturday 23rd November: Exhibtion Open.

Saturday 23rd November 1pm to 4pm: Collection of work.

Tuesday 26th November 1pm to 4pm: Collection of work.
